Tips for uploading drawings
When you place an order and upload your artwork, the first part of my process is called Embroidery digitising. This is where I convert the artwork into a digital file that allows it to be stitched on my sewing machine.
Here are some tips to help achieve the best results from your artwork.
- photograph the work from as directly above as possible, in a place with natural light, or upload a scan
- make sure no shadows are cast over your image
- avoid very small letters because the embroidered text might not be legible
- bold/thick lines will stitch more successfully than very fine lines
- try to avoid large blocks of colour. bold line drawings are best
- photographic images are not suitable as my service is to translate drawings/paintings to stitched artwork
- artwork created on A4 size and under is most suitable. If the artwork is bigger, detail may be lost
If you would like to check the suitability of your artwork prior to ordering, please email the image to me using the button below.
